Full bodied yet racy. Lime, green apples & minerality.
Peter Jakob Kühn's Jacobus Riesling Trocken is a superb example of why dry Riesling is among the most complex, refreshing, and food friendly wines in the world. It has an exuberant nose filled with aromas of lime, green apple, and jasmine. The wine is broad and bone-dry with great extract, full-bodied yet racy with a finish that stretches as far as the Rhine River. The balance of tart fruit and stony minerality, coupled with the intense concentration of flavors showcases the brilliance of the family's winemaking skills. There is plenty of cut here to work with just about any type of food but the Jacobus is best with rich cuisine. Pair with assorted sausages, smoked salmon or lobster, and particularly, crab.
