Four Winds Riesling 2019
This wine has all the delicious citrus flavours that Canberra District Riesling is known for. The off-dry style ensures that the small amounts of residual sugar are nicely matched with the wine’s natural acidity making it light and refreshing.
Triennes Rose 2019
2019 Triennes Rose France – In 1989, two Burgundians, Jacques Seysses and Aubert de Villaine, and a Parisian friend, Michel Macaux, went in search of new vineyards. Their attention turned to a hill near Aix-en-Provence, some 30km from the Mediterranean. Today, Domaine de Triennes is led by Winemaker Remy Laugier, who crafts rosés like this, featuring syrah, cinsault, merlot and grenache.
This wine has a bouquet of strawberries and white flowers with hints of vanilla. It has the harmony and elegance that has earned world-wide appreciation of the roses of Provence. Triennes rose is the perfect accompaniment to a sunny afternoon.
Terre a Terre Down To Earth Sauvignon Blanc 2019
This is the eighth release of the Down to Earth Sauvignon Blanc from close-spaced Crayères Vineyard. The wine is vinified in two separate parcels, one in stainless steel and the remainder in large old oak barrels. The 2019 vintage is a textural wine, with ripe stone fruit characters and good length. It will benefit from bottle ageing, gaining some complexity with age.
Calo Rioja 2018
Rioja Alavesa, in the foothills of the Cantabrian Mountains, is the finest sub-region of Rioja. A patchwork of small vineyards are planted in very poor, sandy soils on the lower slopes. Very low yields, along with cooler night temperatures, create wines with intensity matched by elegance and defined structures.
The nose is expressive and fruit-driven with ripe berry aromas, exotic spice and darker briary notes. The palate is fresh and spicy with seductive red berry and varietal cherry cola flavours wrapped in fine tannins before a long and bright finish. Tempranillo at it’s finest.
Skipping Rabbit Pinot Noir 2018
Kyneton Ridge Estate Winery was established in the 1990’s by the Boucher and Russell families, after a long search to find the perfect property. The Pinot Noir blocks were planted in 1997. The Estate was later purchased by the Wood family and will continue to be a family run winery.
Kyneton Ridge is a cool climate vineyard, with granitic soil, which is ideal for Pinot Noir growth. The vineyard is farmed with the use of organic compost and biodynamic principles without the use of chemical pesticides or herbicides. The vines are hand pruned, and the fruit is hand picked to ensure only the best grapes are used for winemaking.
Skipping Rabbit is a light, easy drinking Pinot Noir. Estate grown and made, its nose is cherry and dark berries. It is a soft wine with refined acid and tannins.
La Prova Sangiovese 2019
Winemaker Sam Scott founded La Prova in 2008; the culmination of two decades spent working both internationally and in South Australia. He developed a natural affinity with Italian grape varieties early and came to see Australia as the ideal place for growing them, especially as temperatures rise.
The most versatile and food friendly grape of all the Italian varietals. A bright, fragrant and savoury, medium bodied red.
