The Stefano Lubiana Ruscello Pinot Noir is a lovely, delicate expression of Tasmanian Pinot Noir. Coming from a pleasant little vineyard next to a babbling little stream ("ruscello" means "stream" in Italian), this is the ideal wine to drink while pondering life on the banks of a river, bay or ocean. The fruit is pristine while the aromas and flavours sit firmly within the red camp, with a touch of cherry tartness and heaps of acid. Like Il Giardino, it can cellar for a few more years, but it's already very approachable and pretty right now.
