Hand harvested fruit from Patritti’s McLaren Vale Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre’ vineyards at Tatachilla and Blewitt Springs was blended a small percentage of contract grown Shiraz from Lights Vallewy. Crushed and destemmed with a small percaentage of whole bunch fermentation, the individual parcels were all processed and matured separately to allow maximum blending options prior to bottling. Matured in a combination of French oak demi muids, puncheons and stainless steel for 10 - 16 months before blending and bottling. Medium deep brick red with a bright ruby hue. Aromas of red fruits raspberry, cherry and plum are warmed by hints of toasty French oak. The palate is medium to full bodied with a generous juicy mouthfeel and is well structured. Flavours of raspberry and cherry freshen the palate whilst smooth tannins continue for a long finish.
