Boasting an extravagance found in some warm climate Asian whiskies, the third release in the 'Man of Promise' series combines four single barrels - ex-port, ex-bourbon and ex-sherry. Bursting with baking spice, rich malt and fruit cake, the aromas and flavours come at you from all directions; Ginger bread, sticky date pudding and vanilla place the finish on the sweeter side but its decadent style remains balanced enough by spices and furry tannins. The perfect Christmas tipple, casks #OD-490, OD-496, OD-515 and SD-010 were aged for five to six years. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
Nose: Sweet nutmeg, dried fruits, Christmas cake, butter pudding, toasted marshmallows.
Palate: Caramel tart, marzipan, charred pineapple, dark chocolate, butterscotch and brandy snaps.
Finish: Soft oak, light spice and Christmas pudding.
