Els Vignerons is a collaboration between two winemaker friends, Alex and Amós, who seized an opportunity they saw in the Spanish market to make natural wines that were both approachable and affordable.
Both men come from grape-growing families, with family plots in the north-east of the country. In 2014, their partnership began. With the delicious range they now produce and the great value they offer, they have quickly built a loyal following.
Their Liuerna (firefly) is a delightfully textural and saline version of the local grape variety Xarel-Lo. The majority of the wine was fermented on skins in stainless with a small portion of the previous vintage that was barrel aged blended in for a little added complexity.
