Named after the French term for Shiraz, this Syrah Gin features cool-climate fruit harvested from a local vineyard near Hall, ACT in 2023. The ripe, plummy fruit was partially fermented before the addition of a lemon, spice & juniper base gin to halt fermentation leaving behind natural grape sugars. Partial fermentation allows for a better integration between the fruits and the base gin. Rather than just using Big River’s classic dry recipe, the base gin has been designed from the ground up, specifically tailored to match the plum & spicy Syrah fruit.
Serve with a bitter lemon tonic and a lemon twist garnish. Or try it in a negroni.
