TWØBAYS founder and CEO, Richard Jeffares says, “I get sick of hearing I can't have that because it’s got gluten in it, so I asked the brewers to create a gluten free Mexican style Cerveza. Now I can have one too!”. And just like corn chips, there’s a good dose of corn in this brew too.
This Mexican style lager is cool, crisp and easy drinking. Until now, there has not been a gluten free cerveza in Australia. Many people think that some mainstream cervezas (you know the ones that come in clear glass bottles) are gluten free because they are brewed with some corn, but they still use barley as the bulk of the grain bill, so are definitely not gluten free. Gluten free beer cannot be made from barley. We’ve brewed ours with malted yellow corn and millet, to deliver that traditional Mexican style cerveza taste - light, low bitterness and very refreshing.
Now you CAN have a Cerveza, even if you are avoiding gluten.
