Brian established the Freeman vineyard in 1999 after a stellar career as wine science professor to many of our local winemakers at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW, making him something of a Guru to many in the wine industry. Located in the Hilltops Region, NSW, Freeman vineyard produces an area of italian inspired wines, thanks to Brians love to northern Italy and it’s unique winemaking. This Saturday you’ll be able to taste a range of these deliscous drops including the Freeman Robusta. FREEMAN Robusta is crafted entirely from corvina grapes, all of which are partially dried for 10 days in a prune dehydrator, prior to a prolonged two-month fermentation. Subsequent ageing in old oak barrels for two years allows the powerful tannins to integrate and enrich the palate. Not for the faint-hearted… DO NOT MISS THIS!
