Naturally fermented in cement vats and aged for 19 months in mostly low-toast French oak barriques, roughly one-third new.
Following aging in barrel, the wine was transferred back to concrete vats to settle for a further 24 months before release.
This is an outstanding, multi-layered and complex release
from Valenciso. It’s still so youthful, with bright plum, dark cherry and grenadine fruit, all sorts of spice and plenty of tannin.
It has modern purity but classical finesse and structure–and decades ahead of it.
