For structure, for shape and for length this wine cannot be faulted. It feels silken until the sheets of fine-grained tannin shoot through, and then it feels like a class act, full stop. Woodsy spice, florals, black cherry, dark chocolate and plum, with a subtle, cool, alpine herb note. It feels quality from start to finish and while it’s not overly intense it gives the clear impression that it will age like an absolute treat.
